Epson America announced the SureColor P5370 desktop printer. The company says the new device combines an advanced 10-channel MicroPiezo AMC printhead with Epson Precision Dot screening technology to produce prints with smooth tonal renditions and exquisite details. Featuring the 10-color UltraChrome PRO10 ink set, with Violet ink, the printer’s built-in Carbon Black Mode increases Dmax and allows for rich blacks and exceptional contrast on glossy paper, the company claims. To support a variety of media, the new desktop photographic printer includes built-in roll support, an auto-cutter, and a high-capacity cassette designed to accommodate up to 100 cut sheets from 8.5” x 11” to 17” x 22”.
“In today’s competitive landscape where artists strive to gain recognition for their work, photographic printers must excel in faithfully capturing the artist’s vision without compromise,” said Marc Aguilera, product manager, Epson America, Inc. “Our newest SureColor photographic printer seamlessly incorporates technology derived from Epson’s acclaimed wide-format printers, into a desktop solution. The integration makes cutting-edge technology more accessible to photographers and creative artists, empowering them to bring their visions to life with unparalleled clarity and detail.”
The new SureColor photographic printer features Epson Media Installer, a software application designed to help control printer mechanical parameters for successful printing with a variety of media, including thick fine art papers.
The SureColor P5370 is now available through Epson Authorized Professional Imaging Resellers for an MSRP of $2,095. The printer is designed for use exclusively with Epson ink.
